Five interfaces target different needs |
There is a universal truth: “One size does not fit all”. This is also true for traffic information system interfaces. The five interfaces within the suite are tailored to fit the functionally different kind of data flowing within a system without unnecessary overhead.
NOPTIS Data Input Interface (DII) Tailored for input of static traffic data. DII is a XMLbased interface for the transfer of timetable, network and any other data prepared in advance from different planning, geographic information and similar systems into, for example, a central public transport database.
NOPTIS Data Output Interface (DOI) Tailored for output of static traffic data. DOI is based on database replication where the static data is published to other systems.
NOPTIS Realtime Input Interface (RII) Tailored for input of dynamic traffic data. RII is a XML-based interface used for reporting to the central system about short term changes and deviations from the production plan.
NOPTIS Realtime Output Interface (DII) Tailored for output of dynamic traffic data. ROI is XML-based and used to transfer information from a central system to client applications, like an information sign system, about deviations from the production plan.
NOPTIS Vehicle System Interface (VSI) Tailored for bidirectional transfer and control of AVLsystems. VSI is XML-based and used for reporting of real-time position data from an AVL- to a central system as well as transfer information from the central system to vehicles.
